From My Collection Music Video

March 21st, 2009

update: youtube video seemed to be unavailable for some reason. found another and inserted that one, instead. (youtube has been having serious embed issues lately…)

This Saturday comes, I believe, the only music video ever made by Circle of Dust.  Circle of Dust was a Christian industrial rock band started in New York.  Apparently they disbanded in 1998 and lead singer, Scott Albert went on to form Celldweller.

The video is Telltale Crime.  I believe it was originally on an album (or another band entirely) entitled Mindwarp (1992) and then released again on Brainchild by Circle of Dust in 1994.  I don’t know.  It all gets confusing.

The song, Telltale Crime, talks about economic disaster, one world government, govt deficits, etc.  I only recently noticed how relevant the song is to today’s climate.  It has a mixture of industrial and thrash metal seemingly combined.  Klayton‘s rough, yet melodic voice belts out the lyrics with precision that even unseasoned metal heads can understand.  Video and lyrics after the jump.

Lyrics:

Economy declines worldwide regression
Throwing within never to recover
Stock market crash broker ends the fall
From the nineteenth floor

Trade wars national debt producing
Paramount consequence
One system government
World domination omnipotent

One for all worldly wise
All for one telltale crime

Inflate contaminate the system frail
Internal deficit compiles
Truth combust propagate distrust
Driving in another nail

One for all worldly wise
All for one master mind
