I grew up with Michael Knott’s music. He’s.. well.. let’s just say his music is one-of-a-kind. I’d describe it as Christian folk/rock/alternative, etc music. There’s mostly live stuff on youtube from Michael’s work, but I found a promo video that has the song “Hospital” in it. The song is from 1:38 to 3:35 in the video after the jump. Of course the whole thing is worth your time: Read more…

This Saturday comes, I believe, the only music video ever made by Circle of Dust. Circle of Dust was a Christian industrial rock band started in New York. Apparently they disbanded in 1998 and lead singer, Scott Albert went on to form Celldweller.
The video is Telltale Crime. I believe it was originally on an album (or another band entirely) entitled Mindwarp (1992) and then released again on Brainchild by Circle of Dust in 1994. I don’t know. It all gets confusing.
The song, Telltale Crime, talks about economic disaster, one world government, govt deficits, etc. I only recently noticed how relevant the song is to today’s climate. It has a mixture of industrial and thrash metal seemingly combined. Klayton’s rough, yet melodic voice belts out the lyrics with precision that even unseasoned metal heads can understand. Video and lyrics after the jump. Read more…
Everybody else has their version of this weekly music video blogging thing. Dang it, I might as well have my own unique version, as well.
These will all be music that I like, of course. Mostly stuff I grew up with. Mostly Christian music. Not all will be, though. All of them will be, however, from my own stash of music that I have now or have had in the past… or definitely plan to buy soon.
So I don’t run everybody off on the first episode, I chose a more tame rock song for the first round. Perhaps as I progress, I’ll insert some of the crazy, screaming, metal insanity. But I’ll spare your ears this time. Video after the jump. Read more…
